(FJC.ru) – The west Siberian city of Omsk played host to a seminar recently for young activists involved in the local Jewish community and the 'Omets' Youth Club.

Held at a resort not far from town, the event featured lectures by visiting specialists. One of the highlights of this gathering came when Rabbi Levi Druts, from the Moscow Yeshiva, told the young men about how he found his way back to Jewish traditions.

By the time the seminar ended, several participants expressed interest in continuing their Jewish education in Moscow.

The Jewish community of Omsk expressed its gratitude to Druts for leading the seminar and the Federation of Jewish Communities of the CIS, with the assistance of Rabbi Avraham Berkowitz, for its financial support.
