Students in 35 yeshivahs around the world will gather on Tuesday evening at 9 p.m. to learn in the merit of Rabbi Akiva Wagner, rosh yeshivah (principal) of Yeshivas Lubavitch in Toronto, Canada.

Wagner, a beloved rosh yeshivah for many years who has influenced thousands of students in classrooms, and online through deeply insightful Torah classes on has been diagnosed with an illness. Alumni and students of the rabbi have organized learning around the world in his merit to take place tonight in each yeshivah at approximately 9 p.m.

Those wishing to participate online can learn one of his classes on, including a Chassidic discourse on this week’s Torah portion, Shemot.

Many are reciting Psalms and adding in prayers for the recovery of Akiva Gershon ben Rochel Basya.
