Thousands of rabbis posed for a group photo on Sunday in front of Chabad-Lubavitch world headquarters in Brooklyn, N.Y. More than 4,200 rabbis from around the world are in New York for the Kinus Hashluchim, the International Conference of Chabad-Lubavitch Emissaries, an annual event aimed at reviving Jewish awareness and practice around the world.
This year’s conference carries an added significance as millions around the world mark 20 years since the passing of the Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, of righteous memory, the movement’s leader and considered the most influential rabbi in modern history.
