Three women will be honored for their outstanding dedication to their community and the Jewish world at Chabad-Lubavitch of Western Monmouth County’s 25th annual Jewish Women’s Day program taking place Feb. 26 in Freehold Borough, N.J.

The honorees include Joanne Caras, author of the Holocaust Survivor Cookbook, who is raising money to support the Carmei Ha’ir soup kitchen in Jerusalem that serves more than 500 meals every day to poor and hungry Israelis; retired nurse Barbara Silvers, who visits the sick through the Chabad House’s Bikkur Cholim project and volunteers for its Smiling on Seniors program; and Randi Goldberg, who supports activities of the Friendship Circle, a network of Chabad-Lubavitch programs that pair teenage volunteers with children with special needs, by raising money and reaching out to other parents.

Caras will deliver the keynote address at the event, which will include a brunch and auction. Silvers and Goldberg will both receive the Woman of Valor award at the function.
