U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming sent her wishes for a happy Chanukah to her state’s Jewish community, reflecting in a video message on the meaning of the eight-day Festival of Lights.

“Like many Americans who have been graciously included by our friends and neighbors, I have wonderful memories of Chanukah, enjoying delicious potato latkes and kindling the bright lights of the menorah with friends in the Jewish community” and Rabbi Zalman Mendelsohn, director of Chabad-Lubavitch of Wyoming, said Lummis. “May this Chanukah bring many more blessings to you and your family: the blessings of friends, open arms, light, warmth, and freedom.”

Sens. Mike Enzi and John Barrasso also recorded Chanukah greetings for their Jewish constituents.
