Gifts That Inspire Happiness: The Megillah in Depth, Chapter 9, Part 7
This class provides an anatomy of the Purim holiday by exploring it's defining observances. We previously elaborated on how Purim was penned into posterity and the unique thesis of transformation that incorporates not only the festive days, but rather the entire month. This will naturally lead us into an appreciation of why it's observed in so a unique and unusual fashion. Our literal and conceptual analysis of Purim's unique Mitzvah enactments explain how they were custom-designed to perpetuate the true essence of Purim for posterity.

Rabbi Mendel Kaplan is the Spiritual Leader and Executive Director of Chabad Flamingo in Thornhill, Ontario, serving one of Canada’s most dynamic Jewish communities. He also serves as Chaplain of the York Regional Police Service. He is an active member of Toronto’s Vaad HaRabbanim (Council of Orthodox Rabbis), and a voting member of the COR Kashruth Council of Canada’s executive rabbinical board.
