Can someone tell me when this teaching was originally given? I am blessed by this teaching, learning much I did not know.
Thank you from the United States Reply

Thank you Rabbi Shishler, Director of Chabad Strathavon, S.A., for this Purim Shiur.
I appreciate your view of Purim-related drinking
although it is rare.
I was raised with a clear view (documented knowledge) of ruined marriages and homeless children which directly resulted from alcoholiic indulgence. I have never desired alcohol as a step to joy. So the whole spiel with the drinking has been foreign to me.
But when you said that Purim should rather be spent on an attempt to have The Divine in our lives, I wanted to hear how you recommended this. In the Megilla, in Shushan at the party Ahashveras through, I have read that he provided plenty of the stuff for everyone to imbibe. It is my deduction that this custom was continued. But I have also read that because the Jews of Shushan participated in this party, the problem arose for them. And that Daniel, Hananiah and Azarish did not participate. Reply
