why we must never forget ? it depends on what, because there is also somewhat well to forget, like evil, I was objected by others, or the grief caused by death. The question is surely directed to matters like the Shoa, or the Matan Torah, the Mizwoth, matters with spiritual and moral messages for life. To forget their meaning will cause us to lose the ability for knowledge the trueth, ability for right decision making, but will cause us great damages, by repeating false behavior of the past. Our memory duty is therefore an essential for our own Jewish life. Reply
