Question that I thought of: the gold was from egypt. From idolators. Who could have used that gold to worship idols.
Is it possible, that since it was used for idolotry, it had no other purpose. So just like when we were in war, we are not allowed the spoils due to it was used for idols! It is there to show us do not take from idolitors!.
Also.. colodial gold we know today is for anxiety. Moses burned and growned the calf and put it in water (torah) and gave it to them to drink afterwards. Hence, it was to calm the people down from the anxiety that occured after what they experienced. Reply
