What is the Jews secret to immortality? In reference to the question posed by Mark Twain, I believe the foundation of the Jewish people's perpetual nature is the existence of their G-dly soul. It manifests in all of the tangible legacies (medicine, law, business, art etc...) but if dissected to its core impetus, springs from the Jewish soul. That soul in contrast to the animal soul is the direct connection to Hashem, and he is infinite, so in my humble opinion that is why the Jewish people, small in number as they may be, have been blessed with perpetual continuity.
