Poems are made by fools like me,
But only G-d can make a tree. Reply

HaShem instruction to the Israelites for trees when entering the promised land Deuteronomy 20:19,20
When in war against a city you have to beseige it a long time before you capture it you must not destroy its trees, wielding the axe against them. You may eat of them but you must not cut them down. Are trees of the field human to withdraw before you into the besieged city? Only trees that you know do not yield food may be destroyed, you may cut the down for constructing siege works against the city that is waging war on you, until it has been reduced.

The Soul of the New Year for Trees This is one of my favorite times, why? Such simple beauty and joy!

I think that I shall never see, a poem lovely as a tree...
remember the last line but only G-d can make a tree...

Happy Day! Remember to feed the birds! Reply
