bees I do not know Hebrew very well, so I don't know whether my idea has any real basis. But when I heard the question of why Dovid HaMelech used the expression that they surround me like bees, I thought how the word for bees דבורים is like Dibburim, talk, speech. What is the biggest war that is being waged against Israel? The media war. It's all talk. And the word אֲמִילַם where he says I will cut them off, seems like milah as in bris milah where something is cut off.
