I found this video really interesting and clear, amazing to listen to to really understand what our Avodah in Elul is.
Question, Rabbi Kaplan said that this is the only Mashal that the Alter Rebbe teaches. Which really explains why we analyse it so much and learn from every single word he says.
But what about the mashal of the sick prince, when the King crushes his crown jewel to save him? Was the Alter Rebbe not the one who said that mashal too? Reply

Thank you for your kind words... as to you question, yes, to be sure, there are also a number of other parables that are found in Tanya etc. I was repeating something an esteemed colleague had said to me... and upon reflection I don't think he was correct in saying so. So essentially I stand corrected, and you are right :) Reply

A Royal Encounter Not to Be Missed! Very much enjoyed your talk on what we can do to help Hashem forgive us for so many errors. When we get a chance to tell the( King of the Universe Blessed be He) our story it has more of a personal touch. We all know we need refinement but human beings come from the very grain of ground that somehow ask for miracles to happen. I guess what I am saying is that we need to plead to Hashem to bring the world to come from the ground up with feeling. I keep trying to do this but really one person can't do this alone everyone needs some support. Baruch Hashem Reply
