Six levels of Shofar Thank you Rabbi Raskin for this profound lecture on shofar. I think of the crowning of HaShem as King of the Universe each year while sounding shofar on Rosh Hashana, particularly during the first blowing of Musaf. I appreciate your sharing the six levels of meaning for sounding and hearing the shofar on Rosh Hashana. It is a spiritually powerful experience for me to sound the shofar for my community in Huntington, LI.
L’Shana Tova,
Shalom

blowing of the Shofar Erev Rosh Hashanah I like what the Lubavitcher Rebbe said, that in Love the entire Torah is negated.
Incidences like this are matters of the Heart which transcend all rational.

None the less you Rabbi Raskin are inspiring with your depth and knowledge and a great ability to communicate Torah.

Thank you Sarah

Six Levels Of Shofar I wish that I could hear the Shofar blowing in the congregation of the righteous. What a pity that I am not able to do that. Maybe G-d, blessed be He, will grant me this His Favor sometime in the future at the coming of Mashiach. Reply

Inspirational It indeed a pleasure to listen and learn from Rabbi Raskin.......Humor was also engaging and had us chuckling: Especially at "wat time is it?"

Seriously though, Rabbi Raskin is a Great Communicator and also possesses encyclopedic knowledge of Philosophy, History and Religion, not only of Judaic Tradition but World Religions. And he uses knowledge with sensitivity, intelligence and discretion.

Narrations of complex subjects are communicated with a kind of empathy which keeps one engaged. Reply
