The Kabbalah of Sefirat HaOmer: The Spiritual Understanding of Counting the Omer

We count 49 days from Passover to Shavuot, the day of the giving of the Torah. In the siddur (prayer book), it associates each day of counting to a different “sefirah” (kabbalistic attribute). How is all of this relevant to us now?

Re: My innate good is in fact a revelation of God It is not clear to me exactly what your criticism is, and how it relates to Rabbi New's lecture. In any case, most would agree that the Torah itself, the books of the Tanach (Jewish Bible) require further explanation. The people of Israel have always had explanations of what is found in our Torah, that were passed down through the generations, and these are reflected in the Talmud. Reply

My innate good is in fact a revelation of God
These rules and regulations of organized religion makes goodness difficult and almost inaccessible for people . The convoluted multi layered double talking of the Talmud creates an aristocratic class trained in a revelation that probably has little to do with God. The Torahs misunderstanding and misinterpretation is a product of bad writing and bad instructions . God would not hand down riddles and metaphors like some sort of scrabble game . Was the Talmud a rewrite because God was incapable of writing ?The Bronze Age was the infancy of literature and this book reveals the styles of many ancient and creative scribes . You must update God and get him out of his Toga . Reply
