the large Chet! That letter being in large font is actually an oral tradition of how this book must be written. One of the reasons given is that the letter Chet has the numeric equivalent of the number 8 – alluding to the eight vestments of the high priest (discussed in this week's Torah portion!) that he wore at the party (to mock the Jewish people and demonstrate his certainty that the Beit HaMikdash would never be rebuilt). Those clothes were also woven of special threads made of eight strands. Hope that helps… Reply
