Halacha 17 Did we not learn before that if something is biblically not allowed the oath is not considered an oath.
If Somebody said three times I will not eat this loaf of bread. Why must he be released from more than the first oath. Being that after he made the first oath he became biblically prohibited from eating it? Reply

Indeed we did learn earlier Chapter 4:10 that an oath cannot take effect if something was already forbidden. However, see footnotes 22-24 there that explain the Halacha in chapter 6:17. Reply
