You are that person. Reply

Every encounter does in fact present us with a learning opportunity. If someone you encounter behaves inappropriately, it may be a lesson in what NOT to do. There are many wonderful people who perform good deeds all the time and encountering such people can provide insight and inspiration for emulating their Mitzvos. People of calibre are unique because there are positive lessons to be learned (not just from their Mitzvos but also) from every nuance of their words and deeds. Reply

Is it just a "wise" person and a person of "calibre" who can teach us a Torah insight, or is literally "Everything" which offers real teaching moments? My Chabad rabbi, Benjy Silverman of Chabad of the Rivertowns insists we can lean from all words and encounters! Perhaps some are more easily accessible and discernible by the ordinary person whose soul is not so refined. Thank you for your response and Shabbat Shalom! Reply
