...Esh v'Eshto and Talmud Torah in Peah Why does the Tehilat HaShem version of Alu Devarim include " ...peace between husband and wife" which does not appear in the Hebrew in Peah and also not in the Artscroll siddur (as I recall). Is that a unique adaptation by Chabad? Also the Hebrew in Peah says "...and Talmud Torah is equal to them all" but that does not appear in the English translation. It does appear in Tehilat HaShem. There are times when I am not clear about the text or the translation. I appreciate your response. Reply

Noahide Law, mixing wool and linen Thank you for your kind words.

The term Noahide Law is usually used to refer to the seven universal laws that the Torah teaches apply to all of humanity. You can find more information here.

The Torah does not give us a clear reason for the wool & linen prohibition. In fact, it is used as an example of a mitzvah which we perform simply because G-d tells us to, not because we comprehend it. There are some mystical explanations given, you can learn more about them here. Reply

I have a question. What is the Noahide Law? I thought this was the Oral Torah before Torah was given to Moshe Aveinu in the desert. Obviously, I was very wrong..

Could you give me a quick response?

Tour of the Mishnah Wonderful teaching! Just what I wanted to learn with my Rabbi! It was a little fast for me because I purchase the Mishnah (hope I have the right one), and could not follow through so quickly. But it gave me a total idea of the teachings.

Are we to continue with these studies of the Mishnah? It would a great thing to do!!

Tour of the Mishnah - Part 1 So as G-d gave the world all it's needs. So did He give instructions on how to maintain His creation. So the fruit may be served as a gesture of good will and unity for all that which He created. The Blessings from G-d are for what He has already done for us in our lives with His breath. Reply
