Isn't the soul the daughter in this analogy... ...and the body the son-in-law (tied to the "laws" of the universe, i.e. not a real son.

So...the requests of the body for the soul are indeed precious. But the body's own needs are no less important... Reply

nudgy guests thanks so much for this. I try to pray and thank G-d every day, usually twice a day. I often feel that i am a "nudge"in my prayers.i say the Amidah, and often add requests. They are usually for my family and all of the people and creatures that need help. for health and well-being for all. And most of all: I THANK G-d! For all of His gifts to us all. Every bird, every sky, every plant and all of the children and beasts and people. Also I am so thankful for the Rabbis and Rebbitzins who are so kind, and for Chabad. Reply
