Re: Jan 2 Torah reading Hello,
Exodus 3:14 reads that He said, His name was I will be what I will be. In other texts It reads, I AM. Do you know why? Also Is there a daily reading of the Prophets to go with the Torah readings?
Thank you,

Very interested in classes like this on books outside the Torah. The haftorah classes leave gaps in coverage. Reply

I ran across an explanation of this in an English translation of Torah by the late R' Aryeh Kaplan, where one of the interpretations had to do with demonstrating that Hashem was outside the bounds of time, another example of how we could not grasp the infinite wonder of creation within the limits of time and space, and matter.
It's definitely beyond my own understanding, but it seemed to be saying that from the standpoint of the Creator, there was no limit to yesterday, tomorrow, and Now, even in our physical world Reply

Torah Dear Rabbi,
I am 72, just retired, and started reading Torah. Your daily chumash videos are outstanding. As I study Torah I realize there is not enough time for me to understand its depth & full meaning. I have decided to glean as much widom and knowledge as I can from each parsha, sentence and word at my own pace. Thank you for your insights, especially when you give those of the balaturim. Shalom Reply

Study the daily Chumash with Rashi, Tanya and Rambam with master teacher Rabbi Yehoshua B. Gordon.
