3. Oyfin Pripitchik

As always, Chabad has done great service by providing information, thoughts and observations for our enlightenment and edification.
I am, with deepest respect, going to make some comments about Oyfen Pripitchek and the version that is included here.
Oyfen Pripitchik was not written primarily as an appreciation of the study of Torah. It was written in 1900 as an encouragement of the Zionist movement. It's central theme was that the appreciation and continuation of Hebrew language would be a key to the continuation of the Jewish people in their own land.
Your version includes the stanzas r\that talk about learning the aleph bet and the joy of learning Torah. You have left out the verses that say that whoever succeeds will receive a flag. that children will come to realize how many tears are contained in these letter, and that the letters will give you strength to bear the Exile, are left out. The song is not only beautiful, but powerful and heartbreaking. Thank you. Reply

wow that is so inspiring and heartwarming i used to fly from Geneva to Peru a once a year and used to be bored with what to listen to, then my mother in laws uncle sent me this song and now im in love with it thank you so so much moshiach now!!! Reply

this is so amazing my daughter used to never fall asleep and cry before she went to bed sometimes even bite me! but once i found this song it worked like a charm KEEP IT UP!
