continued discussion I would also like to add that the FDA and other government officials are filled with ex-Monsanto lawyers. The Supreme Court even has a sitting judge who used to work for them! How in the world can we expect non-biased tests when the organization who is supposed to protect us, the agencies that are watch dogs, and everyone else is all having Monsanto's best interest in mind, not the consumers?

And finally, if GMOs are so safe, why is Monsanto fighting so hard to keep food that is GMO from being so? Don't we, as a consumer, have the right to know what we are buying?

In my house, we have made the switch from GMO food to non-gmo foods. There is a lot of information through the nongmoproject dot org. They have a great label that states it. Let's hope Moshiach comes quickly and the issues is resolved that way. Reply

Totally disagree I usually love the lectures in this series, and I was so excited to see the title. However, I find your conclusions troublesome. Monsanto, the major corporation holding a patent on the corn seed, is the one running the tests to tell us if it safe. Sorta like McDonalds saying, Trust me, the meat is good. I looked into.

They are a multi-billion dollar corporation, whose goal is to make more money. Does anyone know if these GMOs are healthy for us long term? Does anyone know how it will affect the environment decades down the road? Does anyone care? Actually, there is a movement in India at the present time to move to organic agriculture because they found the GMO seeds were destroying the eco-system.

GMOs are linked to infertility, cancers, and much more. The scientists who developed it used words like, we THINK it is fine to eat, we HOPE it burns off when you cook it. Not good enough for me or my kids. From a Torah perspective, it seems like you need to do more research. Reply

Agriculture Great lecture! As an agpilot or "cropduster" it's nice to hear some reasonable discussion about agriculture and growing enough food to feed the world. There are challenges with any new technology but the risks are being exaggerated. I love biotech, it makes my job easier and safer! We are growing more food on fewer acres with less inputs than ever before! To try to grow more food using old technology would require many more acres of farm ground which would be very destructive to the enviroment. Reply
