Counting the Omer with Dr Chighel

A fun and informative peek into how and why we count the Omer between Pesach and Shavuot. In the 49-day period of the Omer, each day is another refinement of a particular emotional virtue represented in Kabbalah by the lower seven Sefirot. Each virtue is a sublimation of a corresponding vice.

fantastic as usual

instead of saying today is Day1, Day2, ... Day40, etc.

is it halachikly preferrable to say "today is 1 DAY to the omer, today is 2 DAYS... today is 40 DAYS" etc.

which implies that today i have with me all of the 40 days. Reply

Where did the Jews wandering in the desert get all that wheat for counting the Omer? Reply

Counting the Omer with Dr. Chigel Thank you Dr. Chigel. What about the intellectual sefiros — chochmah, bina, and da’as? I’d like to learn more about them.

Your video was beautiful and informative. I greatly enjoyed, and I’d love to see more! Reply

Thank you. I enjoyed this video very much-both the content and the presentation. But your picture of the Hebrew slaves is not accurate. Chazel tell us that the Jews did not change their mode of dress-and they certainly did not wear immodest clothing as portrayed in your picture. Reply
