Hello Chana, this is a wonderful interview. By way of background, I am not Jewish, but I have a yearning to learn and learn about Judaism; the Chabad website is such an amazing teaching and sharing tool. You are a talented interviewer, plus I loved hearing about Stephen's experiences and achievements. I am also neurodivegent, being diagnosed ADHD in my case, and there are some aspects in common with autism (or both occuring togethernd I sometimes wonder if this could be me). I have sometimes wished I wasn't ADHD, from the point of view of the consequences of 'wasted opportunities', and how hard it is for me to do certain 'simple' things that others take for granted (plan ahead, start and stick to tasks, manage finances...); however, I am also grateful for the positive characteristics of this neurotype (creativity X empathy, spontaneity...) and I am glad Hachem has made me this way. I found this interview very inspiring - we have a 12 yr old grandson who is autistic and listening to Stephen, it opened up the possibility in my mind that maybe he also could get a doctorate and become a professor... Reply
