Bless you for being smart enough to seek help and the health care professional who helped you. Most Jewish people I have come in contact with would never go public or even admit going to a professional. I personally have been a court appointed child advocate and have seen and heard many stories, most of which the public would choose to not believe. Thank goodness for family court judges and child care workers who really care and want to help. It is an emotionally draining job but when it results in a better life for a child (or in your case an adult) it makes it most fulfilling. G-d bless you and you are not alone in your journey. I survived, but I have to life with all those bad memmories and sometimes I have nightmares about these expirience and I fear that it will follow me in my life. Since three and a half year I find strenght again in the practice of Judaism, I feel understand and accepted. Thank you so much for given me this new perspective to break the silence. Reply

Thank you so much for your Courage to speak openly about what happened to you, that gaves me new perspectives to be myself brave to communicate what happened to me a few years ago, when I moved to a small town for my study, 230 km from my homeland. I was 29 years then and I was on my way for spirituell expirience I searched in several religions for years and in the early Christianity I began to find a line to my own life path. But in that town I met the false people, they abused me emotional and mental for their own concept and image and I didn't recognize immediately what happened to my inner child, so that they have it aside. It cost me my whole energy to rescue it from their bad hands and since than there is something broken inside me. I have problems now to trust people, because they mistreat me while I needed help and support on my way, when I was weak and did not now what to do to change this bad conditions in my life, it felt like they would kill my personhood, last my life. No one is shielded from this, even if they come from a very religious home. We all need to empower children with the tools to protect themselves from a young age and adults need be able to be on the lookout for the signs. Reply
