I have a similar diagnosis since 2016 and after surgery, radiation, chemo and a clinical trial i have not been cured and a cure is not expected by my medical team although they work very hard to do their best for me. When I listened to your audio, there was much similarity between our experiences. Boruch Hashem that the Alter Rebbe prepared us for this and any other challenges through Tanya which answers the questions that tend to arise when at such a time and aids in achieving bitachon (trust in G-d).
By the way, I believed when others became ill (G-d forbid) so why would my attitude change when it happened to me?
I pray that all who are in need have refuah shlemah (a complete recovery).
