It’s been too long since I’ve kept Shabbat properly or even been to synagogue. I need to return. To’da for this email. Reply

Didn't know only the first question. The rest were easy-peasy Reply

5/10 Thank you for this another wonderful quizzes! Even with a low score! I am happy with the results! Since I am non-Jewish! Who observes Shabbat! I am blessed to learn more! About the Jewish way! Shabbat Shalom. Reply

Herman Vancouver October 25, 2022

7/10 eaven as a non-jew and Shabbat observer you should have done better
i once owned a Torah in german with commentarys and the haftorah
at the end i solded and regretted to this day Reply

Andrew Elder October 22, 2022

well, I should've scored 8/10, but 7/10 isn't bad, most importantly is that I'm teachable!
Thank you HaShem! Ahmein! Reply

Shaun Boden LS9 7UA October 21, 2022

8/10 keep getting this score for some strange reason. I know that frum Jewish people will be enjoying the company of loving family, so I hope you all have a smashing time and Shabbat Shalom. Reply

MJ Ch Asia October 21, 2022

Got half correct. I'll need more focus. Reply

Elisheva Levin Arizona October 21, 2022

I did not know who wrote the words to Lecha Dodi, but like others here, I love the many different tunes we sing it to on Friday Night. I also love being honored when my husband sings the Eshet Chayil prayer. Reply

Eva Altona October 21, 2022

Tooooo difficult! Never made a quiz worse than this....Thank you the same for all the quiz!! Reply

Jack Harpers Ferry, WV October 21, 2022

You got me on this one...
I didn't know who the author of Lecha Dodi was;
"Kiddush" - Really?? I thought that was the name of the glass we drink wine from during the candlelighting...
I read between 18 and 20 distinct lines in the Amidah... Why is the answer here "8" ? Reply

Raad Auckland October 20, 2022

FY Sunnyvale CA October 20, 2022

10/10. Rabbi Shlomo Alkaseltzer wrote that jingle for the antacid. Reply

First one wrong .
I never thought about who composed it .
I just know it’s a beautiful song to sing in synagogue on Friday evening !!
I love welcoming the Shabbat bride !
I’m so happy to get all the other questions correct. Reply

Chose unknown for the first one October 20, 2022

Same here! 9/10 with the first question wrong. Learned something new! Reply

Susan Long Island October 24, 2022

We are smarter than before ! Reply

Andrew Elder Bryan October 28, 2022
in response to Susan :

maybe not smarter, but wiser, and well said about welcoming the Shabbat bride!

Shabbat Shalom Y'all Reply

Axel Berger Köln-Ossendorf October 19, 2022

The first question is somewhat misleading. A composer writes music and the Lecha Dodi is sung to many different tunes around the world. Shlomo Halevi Alkabetz wrote the words of the song. Please remember the many non-native speakers here and don't finesse it too much.
Yes, one can compose just about anything including skylines and cooking recipes, but that's not the main meaning coming to mind first. (Verified in Wiktionary, Collins and Oxford) Reply

M Green US October 20, 2022
in response to Axel Berger:

Axel, I agree. I wrote that it was unknown. I understood it meant to ask, who wrote the words. Really strange question. Reply

Tom San Diego October 21, 2022
in response to Axel Berger:

That's the only question I missed too, and for the same reason. Looks like we're all in the same boat on this quiz, but it was a nice one. Reply
