I'm a bit confused about "Judith", though. I recently read somewhere, something about that name. I cannot find it now. Something that goes way back to time of Adam Ha Rishon I believe. I do know the Chanukah story about Yehudis but isn't there something more to the name Judith? Reply

Stana Germany January 14, 2022

I am surprised, get 9/10. Thank You for the interesting quiz! Reply

Fantastic, 4/10. Better than I thought I would. Girls names - not my strong side, esp., Yiddish.
These quiz's are fantastic indeed. Thank-you! Reply

All except 8, which was a bit of a trick question imo. But then as a native German speaker I did have quite a bit of an advantage, I suppose. Reply

What a refreshing quiz [7.5/10]. Barbara Streisand lead me astray on #5, and I protest! ☺

Enjoy your day, 🌞 Reply

6/10. Not bad, considering that I am only somewhat familiar with German, and not at all with Yiddish. Had I been thinking in German for the first one, it would have been 7/10. For 2 others, I picked the wrong one out of my 2 final choices. Someday, I may even get around to studying Yiddish. The maternal side of my family's Deutsch (Dieter) had quite a few Yiddish phrases in it which I found in a glossary I looked at recently, so I have to wonder... Reply
