Actually, the muscovy duck[s] are in other states besides FL, and LA. They are in Hawaii, Massachusetts, and Canada. Let's say, the North American and European Continent. They are rare, but beautiful and they are everyone's pet in my community.

Enjoy your day,

Hi Rabbi! I correctly answered Llama as not kosher, but isn't there a rabbinic debate re ducks? I refer specifically to the Moscovy duck of New Orleans, also popular in South Florida. Reply

Menachem Posner August 2, 2021
in response to jelena:

Good question. As far as halachah is concerned, the muscovy duck is not the same as ordinary ducks, which are traditionally accepted as kosher. Reply

in response to Menachem Posner:

Good Morning, Rabbi Posner

I have many of those muscovy ducks living in my community! They are so beautiful, but different and I didn't know what kind of ducks they were. I thought they were like heritage tomatoes a little different. Some of them just gave birth to a lot of ducklings, sooo cute. I thought they were too old to have babies! G-d answers prayers that seem so nonchalant.

Thank you! :) Reply

Good Morning!
[10/11].

Question #6 - I am happy that I got it wrong, so that I could read Rabbi Akiva's response to the importance of Torah study [the Fox and the Fish]. I love
stories/parables.

Question #10 - [a good guess]. I loved the reasoning behind it! I only saw roosters as very nice alarm clocks. However, roosters tell us the difference between light and dark and give us hope. The rooster gets no respect, but it has a very important job! Something so simple yet so profound!

Be blessed everyone, Reply
