I don't know.....I would include a question of the Jew who made the American revolution final battle at Yorktown possible... Reply

in response to David:

Hi David... Shalom Aleichem!

I went to find out about the Jew who saved the American Revolution. Maybe it is just me who did not know about him. I am glad I do now. What an amazing life! Besides coming through in a do or die moment when George Washington turned to him to make the battle of Yorktown possible, Haym Salomon overcame huge challenges and accomplished a number of other impressive, important and even hair-raising feats in his rather short lifetime.

Thanks for bringing this up.

Happy Chanukah. Reply

Happy Belated Chanukah;

I didn't know about him for a very long time either and i find it quite the story. I tell alot of people about him and most never heard about the story.

Amazing patriot- poor guy died broke and the US never paid him.

Glad you could learn about this important man.

Interesting. However, you may want to review how "century time frames" work as your idea is not correct. Reply

Eric Steger Sunnyvale November 26, 2020

I would have gotten 10 out of 10 if not for that tricky question about the inventor of blue jeans! Reply

Andrew Elder bryan November 26, 2020

As I said earlier, this helps me get closer to, and learn more of the Torah!!! Reply

Wow! Who would have thought that Jacob Davis invented blue jeans and not Levi Strauss!
Thank you Rabbi for sharing that fact and setting the story straight . Reply

Please make more quizzes! There was some surprising and fun facts in there! Reply

Brian Jorgensen Sherwood, Oregon November 26, 2020

Hey 5 out of 10, not bad for a goy. Of course some of the questions were tricky, I learned that Levi Straus invented Blue Jeans, saw it on TV, Death Valley Days. Oh well, it's not the first time I got history wrong from watching too much TV. Reply

Good Morning,

I want to add an additional comment:

▪Bless the beloved memory of the former N.Y. S. Senator Jacob Javits. He was well talked about and greatly loved by most New Yorkers as well as my family and is worthy of recognition because of his uncompromising political platforms and his willingness to work across party lines for all the people.

Thank you,

Interesting point about the mount of Jews coming. Reply

Rita Forbes Clinton November 26, 2020

I love history and I am aware of global anti-Semitic practices through the centuries, but I was unaware of early American anti-Semitic practices. This quiz was definitely challenging, but a great learning experience!

Thank you, Reply
