Just weeks after she stood under the wedding canopy, joyously celebrating the marriage of one of her children, Esther Myriam Schlanger contracted COVID-19 and passed away on Aug. 3.
The beloved member of the Paris Chabad community was a talented educator, serving as a teacher at the “Schneur School” in the centuries-old neighborhood of Aubervilliers. She touched the lives of hundreds of children over the course of her impactful career.
She is survived by her husband, Rabbi Yoel Schlanger, and their children and grandchildren; her parents, Rabbi Boruch and Chasia Teidstyler; her brother, Avraham Teidstyler; and her sister, Sarah Kulski.
Schlanger was interred on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.
