Tallit on Rosh Hashanah
Jewish men wear a tallit (prayer shawl) during morning services, and Rosh Hashanah is no exception. So bring along your tallit (or use one belonging to the synagogue) when attending Rosh Hashanah morning services.
Tallit on Yom Kippur
Yom Kippur is unlike any other day of the year in that the tallit is worn for all of the day’s services, including evening services (Kol Nidre) on the evening leading into the sacred day, as well as all services of Yom Kippur day. So bring your tallit before your onset of the day, and keep on wearing it for all the prayers.
Note: Tefillin are not worn on Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur.
