Tzila Klein, a veteran special-education teacher, passed away on April 8 after suffering health complications exacerbated by COVID-19.

Her son, Itzik Klein, paid tribute to her, saying she was “first of all a grandmother, mother and amazing wife. … She educated generations of children and helped them feel equal among their peers. It was always heartwarming to hear her receive calls of gratitude from former students. Her knowledge and skills were expressed in the love she bestowed on her grandchildren.”

Klein is remembered as having a perpetual smile on her face, even in her last moments.

“She always wanted to help,” her son said, “not just her family, but to everyone she was able.”
