On the first days of Passover in April, Yossi Shapiro succumbed to COVID-19.
Originally from Israel, he moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., making his home in the Jewish community of Flatbush.
He relocated to Lakewood, N.J., just two years before his passing.
Shapiro is remembered for being “happy and smiling, and kind to others.”
He is survived by his wife and their 10 children.
