Eli Botknecht was present at the wedding of his youngest daughter at the end of March, a final joyous celebration before his passing during Passover as a result of COVID-19.
Boknecht was the co-owner of Linnick’s Toy Store on 13th Avenue in Brooklyn, N.Y.
He lived in the Borough Park area of Brooklyn before moving to the nearby neighborhood of Flatbush, and was frequently seen worshipping and studying in synagogues in both areas.
