Rabbi Elish Bochner, a businessman known for his generosity and breadth of knowledge, passed away on April 11, the Shabbat during Passover, after contracting COVID-19.
As a young man, Bochner caught the attention of Rabbi Shimon Nosson Nota Biderman—the Rebbe of the Lelov Chassidic dynasty—and eventually married his daughter.
In his lifetime, he became a highly respected member of the wider Chassidic community of Brooklyn, N.Y.
