Moshe Shmiel Klein, a resident of the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away on April 4 after battling COVID-19.
Ever since, online tributes have been paid to the owner of Klein’s Grocery on Empire Boulevard in the nearby neighborhood of Crown Heights in Brooklyn.
He was always seen with a radiant smile, there to lend a helping hand to shoppers and community members alike.
However, Klein’s enduring legacy will be how he sustained countless families with dignity and kindness, never turning anyone away for lack of funds.
He is survived by his wife and children.
