Dovid Aryeh Shor passed away on April 13 in the heart of his adopted home in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Born in Israel, where his family were famous winemakers, as a young adult, Shor relocated to the Chassidic community in Borough Park in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he spent the next 30 years of his life.

A dedicated Chassid of the Stoliner dynasty, he was a prolific writer, and frequently penned articles and columns for the Hamevaser newspaper in Israel.

Shor is survived by his wife and five children, and will be interred in his homeland.
