Leaving his family and friends stunned, Yoel Sandel passed away during the early part of Passover after a short battle with COVID-19.

Sandel joined his family at JRS Engineering, the electrical engineering company that his parents founded together, and served as CEO.

Despite his full-time work schedule, and the many buildings and projects he worked to create, Sandel’s true legacy will be his dedication to serving others.

He volunteered with community organizations to visit and help the sick and elderly on his own time, and freely dispensed professional advice when consulted. Even in his last days, he refused to complain as he was ravaged by symptoms of the coronavirus, instead commiserating with others in the community who were suffering.

He is survived by his wife and three children.
