A practicing mohel and active member in the Satmar community of Borough Park in Brooklyn, N.Y., Rabbi Yaakkov Mordechai Weinberger was 71 when he passed away on April 1 after contracting COVID-19.

He maintained a close relationship with the Lisker Chassidic dynasty, also in Brooklyn.
