A native of Israel, Avraham Aharon Brook passed away on April 8 after battling COVID-19.

He was a grandson of the famed Chassid Reb Chaim Shaul Brook. A longtime resident of the Flatbush neighborhood of Brooklyn, N.Y., he had recently moved to Lakewood, N.J.

“He loved to study,” a nephew recalled. “He was a straight shooter and his legendary honesty will be spoken about for a long time.”

Brook is survived by his wife, Batsheva; their three children, Tzivia Rosenberg, Pinchos Brook and Yosef Chaim Brook; and their grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his sister, Yocheved Wilhelm.
