With all due respect I think you've miscued on where the Rebbe is coming from regarding healing. Matter does not inform Spirit; the body doesn't inform Neshama. When the body is not well the leverage for healing is Spirit. The body reflects Spirit, Neshama. Spirit is the constant and remains unchanged for Eternity. Align human thinking with Spirit, Spiritual understsnding, and the body will respond with wellness. To imagine that the body informs Spirit is paganism and is the dream the Rebbe often referred to of life outside Spirit, more than one G-d. Reply

Exchange Of Nature Buried beneath our course egoistic physical nature lies a seed with the aspiration to attain spirituality - to resemble G_d's nature.

When this seed is ripe it will gradually develop into a soul.
Each addition of Light will transform our corporeal 'body' of egoistic instincts into a spiritual soul to be like G_d.

The Kabbalists experienced this transformation and described each inner state as they climbed the spiritual ladder. Reply

Physical and Spiritual Needs When we reach out and connect with people we are being healed Spiritually and Physically, In other words,Physically we are being brought together in a World of Judaism and Inside your body breathes a person. I have been reading it for an hour. It's about the basic religious flavor of everything in the language, even when used by Jewish atheists. The example I just now read is

"asher yatsar papir"

to mean "toilet paper"

Of all the ways it could have been said, this was the choice by the Yid on the street. This may sound like a vulgarization of the spiritual, but I choose to see it as a spiritualization of every aspect of life--and an awareness that, indeed, "the physical rises to become spiritual in a perpetual chemistry of exchange." Or, as the book puts it, "every trip to the john is memorialized as a triumph over death." .

My Bubia, may she rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing, always said this prayer ("asher yatsar"), and so do I. I know it by heart. Reply
