If You have faith you know that in reality G -d wants to give you everything what you want , the best of the best ,like a father would do to his unique child , there is not need to pray Reply

Your choice Without faith, no prayer, no G-d, lack of self confidence, cup is 1/2 empty the list may get worse.
Faith an prayer brings love, hope, direction, wanting to help, self confidence, the cup is 1/2 full, the list goes on to better things.

I can understand it. I can even fly on a concept with associations and feelings just to find myself ten pages ahead without remembering what I said by rote while my mind was out there hovering over the mountains of Israel. My vision was so palpable, my prayer felt so I empty...
Davka now during Elul when Dodi comes to visit me I battle against an Iron wall.

One day I wrote to Him what I couldn't say and then I read it aloud to Him and I took off with my own words somewhere deeper and meaningful.
I cried and and felt embraced and being heard , And that day I overcame acting on my negative traits. But how do I know that it wasn't a trick of my imagination and yetzer hara'? Reply

'paradox' of praying this will take me some time. will have to read this over and over to try to understand it (or will read comments that will help!) guess i don't understand the dilemma of why pray if there is faith? to me, there's no reason not to pray, in fact, probably more reason to pray! Why is prayer even necessary? Seeing the title, "The Paradox of Prayer" I hoped you were referring to the question I always have - "Why do we need to pray at all?" Am I missing something? Reply

Who is listening For without opposites, one would not be able to define a purpose. As having faith means someone looks over you and to never be alone while refining. Reply
