When praying, have in mind that God is vested in the letters. 1 This means:

We do not know what a person thinks unless he speaks. It follows, then, that speech is a garment for thought. 2 Say, then, to yourself: “I am preparing a garment for such a great King; thus it is only proper that I do so joyfully.” 3 Utter the words, therefore, with all your strength, 4 because that will effect unity with [God], 5 blessed be He. As your strength is in the letter[s], and the Holy One, blessed be He, dwells in the letter[s], you are united, therefore, with [God], blessed be He. 6
