Equanimity is an important principle. 1 This means that it should be all the same to you whether you are regarded as devoid of knowledge or learned in the whole Torah. This [perspective] is brought about by constant deveikut (attachment) unto the Creator. 2 Preoccupation with this deveikut, being constantly busy with attaching yourself on high to [God], blessed is He, will not leave any spare time to think of those [other] matters. 3
