Participation in a Loan in which Interest is Charged

"You shall not impose interest upon him"Exodus 22:24.

We are forbidden from taking any active part in a loan that involves interest. We may not be the guarantor or witness for such a loan, nor may we act as the scribe who records it. (In addition to the prohibition against lending with interest, the borrower transgresses this prohibition too).

Translation of (the unabridged text of) Sefer Hamitzvot by Rabbi Berel Bell, member of the Rabbinical Court of Montreal and director of Teacher Training for the Jewish Learning Institute.

From "Sefer Hamitzvot in English," published by Sichos in English.
Daily Quote
The tunic [worn by the High Priest] atoned for bloodshed, the breeches atoned for lewdness, the turban made atonement for arrogance, the belt atoned for [impure] meditations of the heart, the breastplate atoned for neglect of civil laws, the apron atoned for idolatry, the cloak atoned for slander, and the crown, worn on the forehead, atoned for brazenness
