Negative Commandment 90 (Digest)
Slaughtering Sacrifices outside the Holy Temple

"...who slaughters an ox, a lamb, or a goat inside the camp, or who slaughters outside the camp, but does not bring it to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting to offer up as a sacrifice to G‑d . . . this shall be counted for that man as blood; he has shed blood, and that man shall be cut off"Leviticus 17:3.

It is forbidden to slaughter outside the Holy Temple any animal designated for sacrifice.

Daily Quote
People differ in their intellect, character, talents and sensitivities. But all are equal in the very basis of their bond with G-d: their intrinsic commitment to Him. So while every individual contributed to the making of the various components of the Sanctuary in accordance with his or her individual capacity, regarding the foundation of the Sanctuary it is said (Exodus 30:15), "The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less, than the half of a shekel..."
