We are commanded regarding the ritual impurity of a zavah [a woman who experiences menses three consecutive days outside the normal menstrual period.

When contracted, one must follow all the laws associated with this impurity. E.g.,] how she contracts this ritual impurity and how, after she becomes a zavah, she can pass on this impurity to others.

Translation of (the unabridged text of) Sefer Hamitzvot by Rabbi Berel Bell, member of the Rabbinical Court of Montreal and director of Teacher Training for the Jewish Learning Institute.

From "Sefer Hamitzvot in English," published by Sichos in English.
Daily Quote
Also those who are far from G-d's Torah and His service... one must draw them close with strong cords of love -- perhaps one might succeed in bringing them closer to Torah and the service of G-d. And even if one fails, one has still merited the rewards of the fulfillment of the Mitzvah, "Love your fellow"
–Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi (Tanya ch 32)
