A prayer from Psalm 90, which some people recite while kneading challah dough, asking G‑d Almighty to bless the work of our hands. The first portion of the dough is separated, which represents setting aside the beginning of each day for holy causes. To me, it symbolizes our asking G‑d to bless whatever effort we put in.
